Hooray for May

Sunday the 21st we were woken up at 2 am to cops flashing lights across the street. A few minuets later when they pulled in our drive we were wide awake.  Turns out our pony's got out and Soda was hit and killed. Thankfully the others were unscathed and we quickly got them secured. The next day we had a funeral.  The kids took it so well. " At least it wasn't Diamond or Slobber and  I guess Mace can have Fuzz all to himself now. "  For FHE we built a fire pit and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for a good memory of the day. Mace also was kind enough to offer us the opportunity to get a new blender.  Ya that sounds good...that's how we'll phrase it.

Memorial Day weekend saw us in the lost river valley.  Recent rain and snow melt had the old quarry full of water.  It was our own private pond.  We had canoes, and cousins.   Later we took a drive to see the Spill way at the Mackay Dam.  Pretty impressive.  Horse play on the dock got a little rough.  Jamie was the first casualty followed by Carson, Preston and most of the kids. The water was frigid to say the least. Home for cocoa and warm baths.

In other family news.  Baler Boo Turned 2.  Truck cake super cute.  The Proctors got chickens.  Yup living in a tote in the bathroom.  Greg of coarse is thrilled.   Jade participated in National 4H Lamb  competition.  Travels took them by Grand arches.  Ralayna sang the National Anthem for Tuacann's PBR.  And lastly Dallin proved he could hit the broad side of a barn with his BB Gun by blasting the window of the family ride. Thus named "Van Slayer." And me on a side rant after my first Primary newsletter as secretary.  PEOPLE PAY MORE ATTENTION TO NOTES, NEWSLETTERS AND PAMPHLETS PUT OUT BY ANY AUXILIARY BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS PUT BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS .. in my case many tears...IN TO IT'S PRODUCTION.
