That afternoon we met up with Greg's family at a bowling ally. They were running a special 99 cent bowling games and 99 cent shoe rentals. sweet. I haven't bowled in forever. High score was a tie between Katana and Denali. I miss bumper lanes.
We went to a grassy area on BYU campus to watch the fireworks from the stadium just across the street. we got chicken and had a ton of snack food. We sat and played games. the kids had sparklers and poppers and cousins to keep them occupied. it was a beautiful evening and the fireworks were awesome. Katana was a little freaked out at first but cuddling her dad it was alright. Denali couldn't get enough.
Saturday everyone showed up just in time to accompany us on a nature walk up the canyon to a waterfall. Now that water was cold. The little boys were mocho men and stood right under it. Preston went on top and lay in the stream. It would dam up behind him then when he let up the falls tripled. So when Brenden carried Carty under it we yelled NOW NOW!!. and they got Hammered. We told Grandma "it's not that bad" so she went all the way under too. She came back and swore at us. We were laughing to hard to apologize. It was a perfect summer evening. Warm breeze. Still. Beautiful view and family.
Sunday we blessed Colvin. As the entire family was present we had another photo shoot. With a Dozen Grandkids the perfect photo is neigh to impossible to achieve without help from "the cloud."
Mom did about everyone hair sometime or other this weekend. love it. Potluck in the park after church before we headed home. Axel fell in love with Greg's niece Sadie?. It's Ok cuz she's moving to Thailand and long distance relationships never work out. And a big Congrats to Marcus and Daniel cuz you know what a grin like that means. Due in February.
