Easter

Preston asked me one-day “Do we ever stop moving?  When was the last time we had a weekend to ourselves to do nothing?”  Started off running when we spent Easter with the Kelly’s.

Preston is working with uncle guy in Leslie.  We’ve been staying with Marc and Pam during the week.   I needed to work in the yard so I stayed home.   Had a few nice days that felt of spring and both Katana and I couldn’t get enough.  I tried keeping her on a blanket on the grass but she wanted the DIRT.

11th ---Echo hosted a Princess tea party.  I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but it was a blast.  We got a royal summons.  She had fancy decorations, a cute dessert table. We each brought a treat or snack.  Everyone dressed up.  We even had pedicures.   It was magical.   Seriously who decides when we’re too old to dress up…to pretend…to dream.
“Never grow up, always keep a little little inside you.  You can grow up but you can never grow little again.”  Grandma Dorothy Nef

Everyone loves new things and this week we got three.  #1--Preston built me a little table that fits better in my kitchen and matches the tile.  It's so pretty i love it he's so crafty!  #2--inspired by cart's "veil" I got me a top-hat-hair-clip.  So Fancy!  #3--after 6 years of prayers and hard work Syringa and Greg were blessed with a beautiful baby boy.  Denali Glen Proctor  April 12th 7lbs 7oz 19 in.  He has Greg's nose and Syringa's kinky hair.  He is so adorable. Everyone is happy and healthy.

14th---Kelly’s branding day is more of a stress therapy session for everyone.  We got 30 cows and 20 cowboys and we don’t so much get in and get it done as practice roping, riding, yelling, flinging poop and then deciding to like each other with food, games and tall tales.
Carson's new calf he was trying to mother-up was giving him fits....fits = poop in face. he he he
I love Cranium Can you guess what we were drawing?

Going Home

Preston and I stayed a day later to be with Mom and Dad a bit more, miss conference traffic and to calm down for the drive home. Our trip was suppose to be smooth…    Well Katana was so worn out she slept till Salt Lake but then she was use to the craziness of a dozen people so the last thing she wanted was to be strapped down for another 4 hours.   We stopped to get dinner.  She’s at the stage where everything goes on the floor.  I almost offered to vacuum for the restaurant.  Then just as we get buckled up she blows out.  I take her into the restaurant restroom.  Of course they have the smallest backwards bathroom and those stupid automatic sinks to wash her and her clothes off in.  pssss…..pssss….soap…pssss…pssss….rinse.  Get on the freeway and we forgot to get gas.  So Preston flips a U’e on the Freeway.  My tiny car barely makes it up the embankment.  Then we sale our first born for a few gallons at some dirty one pump station in the middle of nowhere.  We were so glad to get home.
