Day Date

Katana comes into our bedroom in the morning and we snuggle till I decide I'm ready to face the day.  The other day I woke up to her talking to and snuggling Axel in his bassinet.  Ahhh She loves her brother. As long as he's cool with it - I'm good.

Like the Bassinet we've been feeling a little crowed.  It's taking twice the effort to keep Katana happy with all her toys and books already packed up.  So Thursday Preston decided we weren't just going to lay around moping.  We decided to take a day date to Boise.  We went to lunch then hit the Discovery / Science Center.  We had a ball. It was a nice distraction from all the Bank, House, Lender, Government frustrations.

To MOM's

My kids are growing and I am growing increasingly frustrated that I'm not in my new house yet.  We've been fighting with the bank, our lender, and the governments stupidity.  Without my kids I think I'd go crazy. They help keep my mind of things but at the same time its twice as hard living out of boxes when I'm trying to care and entertain them.

This week I just couldn't take it anymore. Thankfully Mom is just over an hour away now.  It's weird being so close I can just get in the car and go de-stress at her house for a few days.  She has the stinkiest water I've ever encountered.  It smells and tastes like rotten egg burps. She gets her water delivered. Katana loved getting water. I should get a water dispenser just so she'll drink more.

OK Axel I promise this is the last photo op. with cute prop session....well at least until we get into the new house.  Ha Ha I just can't help myself. They are so stink'n cute.

3 week photo op

Axel is home, happy and healthy.  He is such a chill baby.  sleeps good.  eats good. We just love him.  And after 3 weeks I know I'll live.  Recovery with my second has been 10 times faster/better/easier.   Of course I've had lots of help.  We've had lots of visitors too. It's so fun to show off our new addition. As you can tell by the following post of pictures we are so proud of our two cuties.

Pintrest made me do it...

Daddy Daughter Date

With all the excitement surrounding the new arrival someone was feeling a little left out .   After the Grandparents went home and the visitors had all come and it was just us again--Katana was awful.  We wanted to strangle her for a few days.  This wasn't normal and it wasn't working.  After a particularly bad night with Preston and I in separate rooms trying to deal with a different Hysterical child and not go crazy ourselves..Preston was inspired to take Katana on a special Daddy / Daughter Date.    The idea was to get all dressed up and take her to lunch.  Five hours later He came home with OUR KATANA.  Sweet, Happy, mommy's little helper and Axels new best bud.

Their Day:  It just happened to be Twin Falls's Bridge Celebration.  There was booths and educational stations for the kids.  She got to explore a fire truck and sit in a police car. (Preston was awesome and remembered to take some pictures for me.) Then as promised they went to lunch. "I just looked for something that wasn't McDonald's that had toys for her to play on..." Chick-fil-a was the winner. Then it was off to the mall.  Hand in Hand they shopped for a Special Something.  She got a new pair of princess Pj's and Pink stripped shoes. She was exhausted and fell asleep before they left the parking lot.

For the first time in over a week she slept threw the night in her own bed..  She had her Jammies on and shoes under her pillow.   Thanks Honey for being a Super Awesome Dad.
