My kids love lunch in the park with craft Tuesdays in Wendell. I made Zara a summer spinney dress. Since I would see all the little girls the next week or so I got inspired to make them all one. Proctors were first to visit. We were excited to take them to Jerome lunch/craft and splash pad. We hit Ritter Island for like 5 min. I don't know why its so popular--That water is cold! We did walk up to the waterfall though. *Marshmallow passed away randomly. Out in the middle of the pasture bleeding from mouth and nose. weird. sad. Axel says he's done training horses cus they just die or we sell them right as they get nice. Ralayna went through the temple in Pocatello. We heard last min and rushed over. We were able to do Grandpa Jakes work baptism to endowment. Then everyone took a family name including Aunt Loise. Very spiritual and healing. "you don't know him now. "
Grandpa Calvin took 3 generations up Bell. This time with 5 grandkids. It was his 10th time. Quite an accomplishment. My kids were singing My Heart Rejoices in the Lord in sacrament meeting. A song written by Kathleen Smith in our ward with/for her primary class. Its beautiful and my kids loved it. When they offered anyone to learn and preform with the ward choir my kids were first to volunteer and they knew it well. We met for dinner Sunday at Moms house. On her walk Denim found some stray kittens. Grandpa claimed not to like them but spent the evening fixing up the dog house with carpet and door flap. Their windows are in, curtains are up. And after 40 years Grandpa got his tramp back from Clyde. We stayed Monday to go boating. First time on a new reservoir. Still fun. We just did nice rides. No craziness. We had lots of kids and everyone was "recovering" from the hike. Fish and Game released a tankard of fish while we were there. Several were stunned by the transfer and Blazen started picking them out of the water by hand. We ate fish for dinner. My kids have wanted to do the walking path all summer. We brought scooters and bikes for everyone. Took a hike from the sub to the cemetery. Timber drove Grandma Afton up. We sat around Grandma Lolas grave and told story's. Grandma remembered her mama and got teary eyed. She remembered she didn't like oatmeal but had to eat it a lot. Later we were doing dishes and she mentioned how we had to go help the boys outside and then come in and do our chores too but they didn't have to help then. A little bitter memory perhaps.
Timber followed me home to take a river trip to Pillar. Brooke and kids came too. We both got pulled over for inspection so good thing we had whistles and stickers. Axel, Denim, Blazen and Timber took a canoe up around to Shoshone Falls. We lost one paddle but no people so really with this many win win. The next day we followed them to Raft River Slides to spend the day with Trujillo's family. It was a blast. My legs were so soar walking up the hill 50 times but worth it. I got Axels winning shot from a pickup volleyball game with another family.
