Cards and brags

My favorite shirt doubles as my new life motto. It's a rough looking cat with it's tail on fire saying “Its fine, I'm fine, Everything is fine” Ups and downs, and further downs with the comforting knowledge of Gods plan in the end it really will be Ok.
Katana is 11 – 5th grade. She changes classes and has a locker so shes “basically an adult.” She loves high school Drama Club. She was Whiny and Maleficent in the production of “Princess whatshername” Her cat Spice had 4 kittens on her bed. She was thrilled. No sarcasm
Axel is 9 –3rd grade. Class work just got real and he's not real excited. He's still above grade level on most subjects but needs motivation to stay up on anything he considers “busy work”. He earns mini lego models and had to get a shelf to display them. He loves activity days. And food- we call him the bottomless pit.
Mace 7 – 1st grade. He was toothless most of the year. His reading has really taken off. He has kept his birthday goldfish alive almost a year. (Well 1 of 5) He's been saving his money “basically his whole life” to have a $100 bill in his wallet. At .25 cents per mom job that's pretty impressive.
Zara 3 – no grade. Hooray she is now potty trained. She can sing the ABC's, 123's, all her colors and shapes. I love her natural curls. I hope she will to. Shes board with just mom when the kids go to school. Thankfully we have mini horses, goats, dog, cats, fish, and bunny to occupy her energies.
Preston has been busier than a one arm paper hanger. 12 hr days 7 days a week for 4 months straight. It was one of those “hard blessings.” Kids and I took a road trip to AZ and NM to visit family mid summer. Preston made a similar run with us for our Christmas first of December. We had love and losses but like my shirt says Keep your chin up ya'll its gonna be fine.

#1 Highlights include buying our townhouse in Saratoga Springs, Celebrating our 2 Year Anniversary and Ethan’s graduation in New Orleans, 2 Cruises, Ollie the Cat, and many many more amazing memories!

#2 2022 featured our first family cruise to the Bahamas, the D.C. Temple Open House and Rededication (I got to sing in the choir!), Fayoz Mulladjanov and my first couples retreat since having kids and our family's first time camping. Jesse has enjoyed soccer, flag football, basketball, Alora gymnastics and dance. Mason has kept us laughing all year and loves all sports, especially soccer, and reading. Alora started Kindergarten and both her and Jesse and Alora are having a wonderful school year. There have been so many wonderful celebrations, sports, birthdays and simple family life joys. We are so excited to welcome our baby girl in just a few short weeks!Merry Christmas from the Joneses 2022
