Finally got Preston into the skin Doctor. He had at least 2 dozen skin tags blasted in various locations. He was so brave and I openly laughed at him. Also had 2 moles off his back removed. One he had to go back and get a deeper cut as it was "pre-cancerous" . Glad we went. Axel performed for the Cinco De Mayo Celebration at Wendell Elementary. He didn't tell us cuz it was in music class and he didn't remember. We almost hadn't gone cuz Preston's not a fan but there was free food. We got their like 10 min before he went on. Glad we went. Getting INTO the spirit of Cinco De Mayo and because Cast the goat got INTO my new strawberry plants... We butchered him. Axel was the only one who helped. He actually got really into it. Asking questions about anatomy and discussing how the Indians /pilgrims would have done it. He ended up cleaning the hide and with Grandpa Calvin's help made a pocket knife holder, money case and toiletry bag. Good'on ya. The last of our meat birds also got processed. We invited our friends the Jessup's out as Hyrum asked to help. My kids got braver with company but Mace still doesn't love it. Celebrated with McKayla who chose to be baptized on the 13th by her father J.D.

Biggest Yard Sale in Idaho at the Boise Center. It's been on the books for a year. Cart and I spent the morning shopping. Brendon was putting a new engine in his truck. The kids were tearing up carts house. Then we played in the river just below the Dam. It had a whale spout and water toys. Kids liked the sand. "It's like we're at the beach." Mamma (the goat) finally had her baby- a month late. A sweet girl named Tiny. I found Zara a new bike and unicorn helmet at the sale. Didn't take her long to learn to peddle as she's had the strider bike in the house all winter.

The first of spring Dandelions are here. We fried some and made a batch of Dandy-Lemon Jam. I was impressed with the detail on Axel's "Box Car". Katana really wanted to stop at the Tank in Wendell. She'd seen it on her way to clarinet lessons. So one day we went a little early and got some pics. She is really progressing and I hope she sticks with it. Axel finally let me cut his hair. Mace still wants to do the head swish. Zara wanted hers cut too. Her golden locks were harder for me to do. I also shaved Pip. He looks so weird. Oreo had her baby. ANOTHER Boy! Snickers. Got 4 laying hens from the Kellys. Zara loves to hunt eggs. Also hatched one of our own. Would have had at least 2 more but the cat tipped the bucket over in the middle of the night. UGG.

All the kids loved their teachers this year which makes all the difference. Mrs. Clark was so good with Axel. She rewarded his good behavior with books from Scholastic catalog. He earned a spy kit and at least 6 other books. She also made each kid a "memory book" of pictures, assignments, awards. Denim worked hard to Graduate early and spend the last semester in Mexico with the Greens and California with Aces business partner. She has fingers crossed for BYU-Hawaii. Last week of school was full of fieldtrips, parties and plays. The day school got out everyone dyed their hair. Mace had been wanting it done since Christmas. Katana was the housekeeper in Drama Clubs production of Sound of Music. I'm glad she enjoys it cuz it's a lot of work. *Axel got in trouble the last week of school. His teacher and I didn't agree that they took his fieldtrip to the Bruneau Sand Dunes away. I lost a lot of respect for Mrs. Chapman the Principal over that one. I didn't agree with how they handled the situation. Compounding consequence on consequence because they didn't know how to deal with him. Oh well we went as a family later. Rented sand boards which we used like twice before the kids got too hot. We brought our kayaks and across the lake found to a steep hill that met the water. We could climb up and roll down into the water. Now summer is Officially Here!
