Easter Weekend

Easter Weekend--Preston got an early weekend so we headed to Firth to work on the House. Katana was a cute helper but not much help; if ya know what I mean.  When she started painting the "hot" uncapped electrical outlets we decided a weekend at Grandma & Grandpa Kelly's might be a better use of her time & ours.

Happy Birthday to Kylin who turned 2 on March 28th.   It was also the first time I got to see
my new niece Hattie Minerva Kelly, Born Feb 24th at 11:02am, 7lbs. 7oz., 20 3/4 inches long.

For Easter I made Katana a summer pillowcase style dress from one of Preston's old t-shirts (MeHeartPinterest) and some blue tri-bead socks.  We had a little scavenger hunt for chocolate eggs it was a beautiful day.  Later we dyed eggs, napkins, and Katana's.  Summed up the day with a family bike ride.

Pam made all the Grandkids soft super cute Bathrobes.  She sent Katana's with a bag of candy and some Peeps.  I got one...so I wasn't too surprised when someone wasn't feeling good the next day.

10 DAY Vay-kay

Schedules worked out just right to allow a spontaneous trip down to Mom and Dads for a week.   We drove to Syringa's, got to visit them for a half a day, then Mom took Katana and I the rest of the way.  It was so nice to kick back, relax and enjoy the company.  Katana warmed up real fast and soon became Grandpa's shadow and Grandma's Helper.

Mom was called as an achievement day leader for her first activity they had a fitness day complete with a mini Zumba lesson.  Mom's also into this healthy drink called 'naked juice' ( includes: Kiwi, mango, pineapple, broccoli, spinach, algae, garlic, wheat grass and much much more.....) Katana liked it.

Another plus this week was cousins, cousins, cousins.    We got to visit Charlotte and the Kids one day. Played the funnest Disney guessing game.   And then the McPhauls came down for a few days while we were there.  It was a mini miracle that the one day we  were all together was a calm pleasant day.  We were able to ride the pony  get the cart out, the kids made a fort on the haystack and Trujillo got 'creative' and made a slide.   It was so nice to be outside, be a warm day and having fun with family.

By the weeks end we were ready to come home. I wasn't looking forward to dishes and laundry but both  Katana and I were missing Preston.  And after a week of corn dogs and PP&J  he was really missing us too.  We hitched a ride with Mom and Dad as they headed to a PBR in Washington.  Katana had a rough  start. But as saying goes "if you can't beat'm ---Join'm.  Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful vacation.
