Happy HALLOWEEN

Pumpkins!!!!   We found part by accident a little U-pick farm and corn/straw maze.  Eazy FHE. Hundreds of pumpkins to look threw. Crisp air and a fun activity just brought in the Holiday and fall feel.

Home to carve our pumpkins, make pie and dry seeds. Katana made the face she wanted. We were all so creative. Good family time.

I love to dress up.  Halloween gives you leeway to go all out.   Shopping at Walmart the day before Halloween we went as Mother Goose, Little Miss Muffet and the spider.  For Trunk or Treat at the church we were STAR WARS.  Thankfully Timber's family is boycotting Halloween so we could use her costumes. Thanks to pintrest for Axel's Yoda ears.   We Killed it.  Walked around Wendell after the party to do it ol' School.  Door to door. the anticipation waiting for them to answer.  cold air.  large moon. comradery of other trick or treaters.

PS. Exciting news from the Kelly side. THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE WATER.  Echo is having a girl.  "we are all pretty excited....expect for lane who is devastated.

Ode to October

I have loved this fall.  We got a swing set on craigslist.  With the tires we have our own park in the back yard.

Kelly's came to visit. Axel grabbed Grandpa's hat and glasses. Katana cracked up "you papa".  Harvest time across the street.  We were able to glean the potato fields. It was like a treasure hunt for the kids. And a huge blessing for us for winter.

Another blessing is my amazing husband. He turned 28 this year. We went to dinner at Elevation 486 a fancy restaurant on the canyon rim.  Spectacular view and NO Dishes.  NO Kids. NO Curfew.  Happy Birthday Honey.
P.S. thanks for the cards. He say "star wars music rocks...hubby remote. needed."

Katana makes me smile the things she comes up with.  Like tonight.  She gets a pool noodle, crayons and her tools.  We were confused what she was doing. "hold this--I'm fixing it--don't worry"  Then "MOM I made a rainbow."  The other day I go to make dinner and hear a noise in the oven. I open it and take out a tray of golf balls.  Did you know they will explode if preheated to 350 Degrees. New rule:  No playing in Mommy's oven.  A hard rule to implement because the kids love to help me cook. Besides making a mess is half the fun.

Utah Run Trujillo & McCarty

The next stop on our road trip was Trujillo's house.  It is kid heaven. A 2 acre sand box as it were. It was too cold for the mile long slip and slide but the zip line into the canyon was a hit. The baby seat was genius. My kids are speed junkies.  The boys tried to out do each other. going tandem and upside down. Abe showed off on the swinging tree. I had to try and  NAILED IT!

The Pony cart and chariot w/ fuzzball are always a hit.  Do you see the one of Nathan smiling!!! Between Charlotte and I we got a few.....hundred of the kids. what a fun day.  Trujillo had a list and dang if we didn't do it all. We picked apples and Charlotte made a fresh pie. Boys went golfing, had a marshmallow roast, watched "Mom's Night Out" (hilarious as I so relate).  I was worried about their forks vs knifes eating style but the flavors were great.  I am addicted to the coconut oil popcorn.

We went to church with McPhauls because Timber spoke.   Lastly to McCartys for Sunday dinner and games. As we were leaving I clogged the toilet. Not my fault. When Brenden moved the pot;  roots were growing up the pipe.  I know I didn't poop a plant.  The kids were exhausted.  It had been a big week.   Lots of cousins and fun and memories.

Utah Run Syringa &Timber

Parents made a 5 day run and we tagged along. Syringa followed us to Timbers house for a day. The kids could not have had more fun.  Ace's skyscraper tree house, mile long rope swing, sticks and stones and room to run.

I had never been to the factory so we took a tour.  It was amazing. Ace has done so much work. I can't wait to see it in operation.  We had a picnic outside and then hit the park on the way home. Mom and Dad slept on the tramp--with all the kids.. troopers.  We woke up early to go to Trujillo's house.  The kids slept the whole way.
