YARD SALE STORIES

Summer is coming and I can't wait. Another quick trip to my mom's to see Denim and get raspberry starts.  ( After everyone left last week Demin got to stay a week then fly home. Then Blazen comes for the next week. ) Story time at the Library is a new Friday favorite for the kids and I.  Stories , song, dance, game and craft project. Good social too.

Katana's declaration that she never got to spend time with her Dad anymore was fortuitous as the next weekend we had planned a Kelly Girl NO Kid Yard sale Bonanza. I hosted it - Preston took the kids camping.  (See DAD watching Cartoons with the kids before we left... quality time).   It was a riot.   We had stuff strapped to the roof and hanging out the windows at the end of day one.  I was the expert barterer.  "offer a dollar the worse they can say is No.  Then offer two."  Should have mentioned to offer on stuff you actually wanted. Malena's dollar box was a joke for the rest of the weekend.
Stayed up till 2 am talking, crying and laughing.   Saturday was raining but we hit "The biggest yard sale in twin falls" held inside the barns at the fairgrounds.  We all ganged up on Pam taking her into coloring and cutting her hair.  The 2 hour wait was the funnest part with Echo's Snapchat account and lack of sleep to keep us going. While her color set and sper of the moment I cut my hair too.  I wanted a severe A-line. Below the shoulders to shaved in the back....long story short.  It was so bad and crooked even Preston noticed and sent me back.  round 2 she wacked off another 5 inches  trying to get even a decent do...finally I said I'd make it work and left.   Thankfully Pam's cut and color was Amazing. People's reactions to her Facebook before and after were so fun.  "Wow"  " Took years off" "Yup my Mom's Hot"  " That's Pam..no way I thought it was another daughter"     I am so lucky to have an awesome Mother-in-law and sister-in-laws. and that they like me too.  Well I hope they like me anyway.  They hide it really well if not.  Now we just need Carson's input--I mean wife--that could get dirty fast.  Seriously Funnest weekend ever.

Baby and Boats

Chick Days fell on a crazy cousin weekend.   The mortality rate surprisingly was about average with only 3 of 15 being loved to death.  And thats with Axel constantly having a few companions.   and Denali stuffing them all into a hat and bouncing them out singing "POPCORN CHICKEN".  after #3 perished Katana's sign warning the little kids not to touch her chicks increased their chances of survival..... and the fact we left to Grandmas for the weekend.

Saturday Grandpa was A.I. ing the cows.  I love how the Farm and Ranch industries encourage family.  They like kids to be excited to interact, view, participate. It not only teaches where food comes from but also bolsters a love of the culture that may inspire a future generation of producers in these areas.

Cousins make their own fun. But is it just me or is it that at Grandmas house everything seems to be magically awesomer? Her old swing set is cooler.  Books better.  shower hotter.  Bread fluffier.  towels softer.....  Fuzzball the Pony is always a hit too.

Balers first family get together.  Mace migrated toward him if left unattended on the floor and when side by side gabbed for his hand. so cute hope they will be buddies for life. Grandma got them matching jogging suits so cute.  so naturally photo shoot time.

Grandpa's boat is a summer bonus when visiting.  Kids love eating treats and feeling the wind on their face.  Babies rocked to sleep by the waves.  The couch is fun for them but as Katana said " I only like boring Grandma rides."   Took a ride up the canyon to Pelican Island.  What a Beautiful day on the lake.
