Joys of January

Church callings: Preston and I continue to team teach the CTR 4 class. There is normally 8-10 kids. All rowdy, all ready to be done with church. I teach the lesson--I just keep talking. Preston is crowd control--tries to keep them from talking. I got a like on facebook from one of the Mom's after a particularly wonderful Sunday "Addy said this after church today... "I LOVE sister Kelly as my teacher... But I wish she wouldn't bring her friend all the time. He is SO bossy. His name is Brother Kelly." She isn't used to getting as good as she gives. Lol! Keep up the good work brother Kelly! " Katana started going to nursery when we got our calling. She cries for a few minutes when we drop her off but then does just fine. She loves snack time, singing time and the kitchenette.

Katana is learning and growing everyday. She learned to climb. yeah?? opened a whole new world of mischief.  (stove, sink, water, microwave, jewelry)  She can get into the fridge, get a boiled egg, crack and peal it all by herself. She loves to help me in the kitchen.  And lastly I want to document that my baby can grow hair.

We have to start being careful as little ears and little eyes are always wide open.  She understands everything--it's cute but scary. Story #1: Getting ready for church one Sunday I was running late--getting frustrated--yelled to Preston to come help.  Immediately Katana yelled "DAD NOW" oops.  #2 I'm taking a break (AKA going potty) when Katana comes in wanting something. "Ok when I'm done I'll help you"  so she marches over pulls up my pants  then grabs my hand like ok your done lets go

She's got an attitude and a personality as big as she thinks she is.  I love these pictures. They show her mood swings perfectly.  #1 looks like Piglet ate Eeyore. #2 looks like our happy bug.

 Last but not least January 19th marked the unexpected though highly anticipated arrival of Mike and Brook's Baby boy.   Rhett Michael Kimball   7 lbs 13 oz    21.5 inches  Congrats he's a cutie!

Anniversary bust

For my anniversary I wanted to go to the temple and go bowling.   Well the temple was closed this month for cleaning and no bowling cuz it was tournament week for the leagues.  We did get to eat a bit of wedding cake--not bad for being 4 years old---what a dumb tradition.  

 We did make it bowling a week later.  It was super fun. Notice I won the first game and yes Katana and Preston kicked butt the second game-- but lets call it a tie. FYI---while I'm not pictured in this post here after I am present at and do participate in the following events.  

It snowed for a week.  Dry powdery snow.   We finally found a sled and good thing cuz it started warming up soon after.  We made the most of it while it lasted. It was such a pain to get ready and then to only last 10 min. Plus it was quite a work out.  Needless to say we were done long before Katana was.
