Jumbled July

Proctors, Mcphauls and Kellys were here during the 4th.  Fireworks in Wendell were better than expected. Zara is growing and we can't get enough of her. Bathtime, bedtime, bellytime, anytime is a photo opportunity.  She learned to roll.  Belly to back.  But what she really wants to do is walk. We hatched 4 baby chicks. We took a bike ride. Axel and Katana are both good riders.  Zara loved it. Mace wanted me to go faster.  Probably too early and too much weight for me. oops .   I had a yard sale. The kids sold Popsicle's and water. It was good practice at talking to people and counting money.  Katana especially got into it and manned the sale most of the day  as i was in and out with Zara.  Water-$.75 Popsicle $.50 each or 3 for $1.  Fill a box for $5. Keitra Knight is selling her Lularoe at deep discounts and I'm hooked.   Nesting phase of Pregnancy turned into Marie Condo obsession.  I watched all her shows.  Read 2 of her books.  My house looks like a bomb went off but "its a process"... "worse before better" ...
* Mace running full tilt down the hall tripped and hit the corner of the door with his head.  HUGE bump.  HUGE Purple, green and blue eye. Axel said it was the "Prettiest eye makeup ever."  Can you break your eyebrow?
*Burning weeds in the pasture.  Ran out of hose. Got more.  Got away from us agian.  No more hose to be had. Praying like mad. Random neighbor driving by gets some just in time. MIRACLE.

Blue Heart and Skull Rock

Late Last summer we discovered how much fun canoeing is.  I was afraid we weren't going to be able to go this year because Zara was too little.  Preston was hesitant at first but we decided to take a short trip to Blue Heart.  A Beautiful cove of crystal clear water right off the Snake. Bubbles up from the floor. Bitter cold but beautiful.  We watched a deer on the bank and dared each other to jump in. Katana was the bravest.   Zara slept the whole time rocked by the waves.  (Forgot phone so thanks google.)
So the next weekend we packed for a day trip to the falls. Preston ridged a brace to hook the two canoes together to make a pontoon boat.  Much more stable and we could help each other paddle.  Again Zara was the best one.  The kids liked swimming between the boats. We made a few stops along the way to hike or see the caves. We had a nap and picnick at Skull Rock Bay.   Then paddled across to see the falls.  The kids and I climbed to the top of the bluff to see.  Preston stayed below and crossed to the other side.  On the way back to the boat Katana wanted to go to her Dad but it was easier to climb down the opposite side.  I let her go one way and I took the baby and boys down to the boats.  When Preston and Katana weren't waiting we walked back around to find them.    Katana had went to find her Dad who had crossed a fast moving falls. She got halfway felt the spirit telling her to go back.  Starting back she was swept off her feet and took a ride down a washing machine and 2 other pools dumping out close to Preston who looking up when people started screaming noticed it was his daughter bobbing up and yelled for her to swim to him.  She was shaken , rattled but unharmed.   It was a miracle on so many levels. She turned back so in a better spot to fall in. She put her floaties back on after climbing around on the hill with me.  Preston was at the last pool she came to to get her out.  She came up every time did't get hooked on anything.  Preston was pissed at me and scared and relieved.   We were all just so grateful. It was a good day all in all.
