Much ado in March

Since the Proctors are moving soon we planned one last trip to visit. The fact that it was near Easter for Egg Dying, and coincided with the Spring Color Festival were just happy accidents. The Hatfields carpooled with us which made for a fun commute.  We totally didn't talk about Bruno the whole time ;)   The Mcphauls planned for a work weekend at the shop and came down late Friday. Cart had never hiked the Y so that was activity we did before everyone showed up.  3 babies in backpacks. 6 older kids that beat us to the top by a good 10 min.  ha ha we had the food. And even with their house in staging / showing /packing mode the Proctors were so open and accommodating as always. We just loved the opportunity to be together.  We had a family talent show.  Katana did recorder, Axel solved a rubix in under 2 min. Mace jumped on the pogo stick. We actually bought another in Utah cuz ours broke.   Zara stood on my hands.  The Color Festival was awesome again. Lots more people than last time.  We had lots of chalk. We got so dirty. I ordered a package of white shirts on Amazon. All the same size like 12-14.  So Zaras was a dress and Katanas fit snug. The "anti-color festival" flyer I got I actually loved the front side. The story -the background- the philosophy. The back side got all Debby Downer.  There argument against is my argument for it. I think you can find Jesus in all religions and areas of life.  It might not be the whole truth or our knowledge but that doesn't make it evil.  The idea of light to dark or the concept of throwing your hurts and negative energy away and becoming free are still great positive messages. It was especially meaningful with all the heavy feelings surrounding a certain member of our family right now. Let it go. Throw it to the wind. Hands up, head up, heart up. Holi Krishna!

We got baby chicks $1.29 for chick day this year. Got a dozen meet birds.  Preston got a shot gun in case they get out and poop in his shed again.  I inspired Cart to get her kids bunnies since Brendon can't do cats.  Mom and Dad have Grandma full time. Dad is finding ways to stay busy and getting into leather accessories.  Mom is surviving.  School is quickly winding down.  Axel got a Trojan award for Honesty.  His teacher said it was easy to give him this one.  "he may not always do what's right right away but I never have to worry about him.  He knows and he owns up to it."
