THIS & THAT

Preston grew up with all boys, so of course he loves motorbikes.  I on the other hand was not & am almost afraid of them.  But I have to admit I was totally excited when he brought home my early B-day present.  A little Honda 200 3-wheeler. I can do this.

Seeing as it’s not officially mine till June so of course Preston has to give it a few good “test runs”
CRAZY DRIVER! I hope it makes it to June.

We had a ton of help branding at the Kelly’s over Easter.
(TWITCHELLs--Guy, Juanita, Grandpa Jerry; KELLYs--Marc, Pam, JD, Echo, Jade, Lane, KyLin, Dan, Malena, Me, Preston, Carson ;  REYNOLDS--Kellen, Crystal, Juliet, Mason and Vance)
Our husbands all needed a day of playing in blood & manure.  Somehow it relaxes boys to get all pissed off at cows once in a while.   Of course I did my part by taking pictures of all the excitement.

Now I’ve been around cows, branding, medicine, and “home surgeries” my whole life, but Marc's (father-in-law) method of castration really grosses me out.

Later we had an Easter egg hunt in the back yard for Jade & Lane.   Score—Jade 35 ; Lane 15   I actually think it might have evened out as Lane found both XL eggs and the money egg.

Jade Turned 4 on the 5th of April.   Echo threw a princess party for her.
Aunt Juanita decorated her cake.  WOW!
The Boys had a hard time not cheating or being too competitive over the “pin the star on the wand” game.   But in the end Jade still Won.
Happy Birthday Princess Jade!!!

Just a few days later we celebrated Lane’s birthday.   Grandpa Marc surprises them with a swing set.
How cool--I want one!
I think I’m going to hire Juanita to make my birthday cake too. Lane loved his power tool set, especially the hammer.   It was cute he actually knew how to use each tool.

Still making improvements on the house.   Finally getting a permanent kitchen.  It’s looking so good

We’ve been getting lots of rain lately.  Major Mudslides have closed roads to Jackson, WY.  It’s also put Flood Alert on HIGH for those along the Snake River plane.  At church we’ve been asked to be ready to help/house those who may be evacuated.  Or be ready to help bag sand.

AND SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST
Happy Mothers Day
Preston surprised me with a potted flower.
I didn’t even have to remind him it was mother’s day, and that I was close enough.

A Special thanks to my own Mother DIXIE LYNETTE NEF AMY  Your kisses made the hurts be gone, you stood by and loved me even when I did wrong, survived me in my teenage years and was the comfort for my tears. And so with gratitude I humbly send words of love that never end...to my Mother...my best friend.  I LOVE YOU MOM!
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.  ~Washington Irving
