Thanksgiving

Preston wasn’t sure the Job would get done in time for Thanksgiving so he decided to send me and Katana early.  We flew out of Liberal Kansas as the only passengers on a 20 seater putt-putt plane.   In Denver we switched to a larger aircraft.  Katana was such a good traveler.  I think it helped that we left at 3 AM.

Mom met me in Salt Lake.  That night Syringa, Mom and I got tickets to watch my cousin Darren Cueva in a concert at BYU.  He is an Awesome Bass player.  Commissioned to play all over the world and in the movie score Spartacus

Every weekend in November my parents do the Dixie 6.
A series of  high school rodeos.   I got to sit in the Kubota with a front row seat.

I’m grateful I got to be with Mom and Dad for a few days alone.
I really missed them.  And Katana got a little time to bond.

We tried to prepare for thanksgiving ahead of time…

But once people started showing up it was just time to enjoy the MADNESS!!!
Volleyball, Football, Horse walker, Helicopter Rides (STEVE GILBERT You Rock!), Breaking Dawn, Cousins, Courting, Crafts & FAMILY!!!

Preston was very sneaky.  Wednesday 11/23 he called to say the job was done, he was on the road and he'd see me soon.   Less then an hour later he pulls into the yard.  I was outside at the time--saw him--started screaming and crying.  It was a wonderful surprise.

And speaking of surprises... McCarty brought a "friend" home.  Brenden Hatfield.  We did our darndest to run him off but apparently he really likes her.

We all had a marvelous time.  There was plenty of FOOD, FUN, and FAMILY.  We are all Very blessed to have Jobs, Healthy bodies, and of course the Gospel.  I look forward to the next holiday... Christmas... where we can celebrate the Savoir's birth and be thankful for all he has given us.
