26th-- We took 2 days getting to Utah--no rush. We stayed with Proctors one night. We stopped at Cabala’s. Katana didn't want down. I think she thought the fish were going to swim right out of the tank at her.
We got to Mom and Dads a few days before everyone to spend time with them and to help get everything ready. Preston helped in the assembly line to press out 200 4oz hamburgers for the coming event.
Once everyone arrived it was crazy fun. Mom and Dad have wiggle cars, scooters, a bouncy horse, horse and cart and 8 little puppies to keep all the kids and adults entertained. Not to mention just hanging with everyone.
29th BreAnn and I helped Dad gather and doctor some bulls one day. It was amusing to go back for a while. Lots of memories and good times on a horse. Plus I always loved the gory doctoring part.
Preston and I took a hike down the old highway /underpass by the F’ing way. We found some interesting graffiti.
Anderson junction is now home to a rabbit farm. We took a wagon ride down to see it. The baby bunnies were so cute. After they get hair and if they don't pee on you that is.
30th Steve and Cyndi let us use their new helicopter hanger to hold the reception in. They hired MUDDY BOOTs band and we had ourselves a dance and BBQ. It was a blast. Abe spun every girl his size. It was cute to see him trying to swing dance with them. What a stud! Dad was really sweet too. He made a point to dance with all the little girls. They each went away totally in love with him. Half way through the guys got to change. Greg and Preston wasted no time getting comfortable. Cart and Brenden did a floor show-a series of lifts they learned at college. They are really good. Then we just partied. Everyone had fun. And everyone was glad that the marathon receptions are finally over.
31- Mom got a cactus box; all the girls thought it was cool. Dad got a new TV and surround-sound all the guys thought that was cool. They set it up just in time for conference. Listening to the prophetic messages from the lords servants was the perfect ending to a crazy hectic weekend.
| what are the odds....they all blinked at the same time. |
Between sessions we set up MOM’s water slide. It was a little windy so they hooked it to the water heater. It was still chilly but hey water is water and kids love water.
| We were wondering why the water was tasting funny. |
The guys went to the priesthood session together. What a handsome bunch. After the kids went to bed we (McPhaul’s, Heo Amy’s, Proctor’s, Kelly’s, Hatfield’s, and Erin Jones) went to THE HUNGER GAMES it just happened to be ladies night so we got free popcorn. Yah . It was soooooo goooood.
April 1st-- With all the craziness people forgot what day it was. Cart had Syringa take a pee test for her then ‘conspicuously hid’ it in the bathroom she was using. I showed mom and asked who might be prego. When she eliminated everyone but Cart she kind of freaked out. After conference Brenden got up “everyone I’d like to make an announcement. We are expecting and it’s due APRIL FOOLS" it was great.
We had a baby shower for Syringa before everyone left. The guys all came too. Most of them had never been to one and I think they rather enjoyed it. Blazen won the string game guessing how big Syringa was. He just stretched his arms as wide as he could. “she’s this big. She’s huge.” Her doctor actually didn’t want her to come, but she promised to go easy and crossed her legs. I’m glad we all got to be together. What a lovely weekend.
