Jerome Fair

Katana is now "Mighty Fly Killer"  She loves swatting fly's but was surprised when she actually got one.  She came to me almost apologetic "uh-oh dead"  We celebrated with a picture so she knew it was really OK.  She proudly carried it around for a few minutes before it fell off and got lost.

She still loves her Kitties and baffling to all they still love her. She has also taken a liking to her BOOTs.  She has 3-4 pair of differing sizes but it doesn't matter she wears them all--all the time.  My favorite ensemble is the panty-no pants-with boots look.   Since we're in the middle of potty training it's easier to let her run around in her panties.  It's easier for her to feel when she needs to go and go by herself.  Pants are an extra annoying step that wastes valuable time when your just learning and only have a 5 sec window to get there and ready.

Katana is so observant   She watches her dad shave and loves to sneak in the bathroom to do the same.   She goes with me to the doctor every week.  So the other day she went potty and took one of my plastic tupper-wear cups with her and proceeded to take a pee sample.  She was so proud of herself for catching some.  I couldn't stop laughing.   She was totally pissed I wouldn't let her take it out of the bathroom.   Then there's the sweet moments like when you walk in on her pretending to clean the dishes or singing her babies to sleep or reading a night time story to her toys. I love this little girl.

Jerome County Fair kicks off with a parade.  Katana (with the help of a teenage boy whose Mother we sat by and later her Dad when he got off work)  was able to secure some candy. She got so excited when she "won" a piece she'd run back to me bringing one at a time. Preston would hold the rest till she got back and drop another while we waited for the next float.  Candy in parades is like flesh in a piranha tank. If the little fish don't have a helpful bigger fish they go hungry.

Preston, Katana and I went to the Fair Friday to walk around.  We got our faces painted and looked at the animals.  Apparently the "Do not Pet" signs didn't apply to my family.  This year we tried fried alligator   Not fishy...not chicken...not bad.  We also got Slurpee's (from the gas station--much cheaper) and elephant ears.
