Delve into December

At Thanksgiving Uncle Evan gave us 2 horses and all the Git-up.  Katana loves when they eat out of her hand. She could shuttle hay to them for hours.  Axel and I are less enthusiastic to be out in the nippy air.  On Dads days off he runs them around the pivot (they've got a lot of go) then Katana gets a ride. She really likes just leading them around.  She has no fear which makes me fearful. But it's all good.

Katana has taken off in her cooking.  Preparing dinners all over the house.  She gets water from the sink and finds her church snacks and using the oven to pretend warm it up then using real dishes she sets the table.  And lastly she hollers "time to eat. come sit"  It's quite endearing.

Axel isn't growing fast enough for Katana. She understands her brother will be able to play with her but just not yet. She wrestles with him and is helping him learn to roll over. Either showing him how by doing it herself or rolling him across the floor so he gets the feel for it.  He's almost to heavy to give rides in her doll stroller but that hasn't stopped her yet.  Hey as long as he's happy.  And he is. Little stinker discovered his thumb. it's actually really cute so I haven't tried to stop him yet.  again as long as he's happy.

Winter has come to Idaho.  A few times actually.  The snow doesn't last more than a day or two. Warm, cold, warm, windy. cold.   But when it is here we make the most of it.  Preston finally got the lower pasture wired.  It wasn't easy trying to pound post this time of year but he did it. even rigged it to have a gate and continuous hot wire.

With the weather cold outside we learn to entertain ourselves inside.  found some eyes in my sewing box. Haven't laughed so hard in a while.  We look so goofy.  I love my family.  they are so darn cute.
