It's so hard to get active after having a baby. There has been way to much Mario Cart and Netflix. Axel has kept his big boy undies dry for 3 days so we went to the park. A little chilly still but it gives me hope. I can't wait for warm.... summer... sun... outside.... garden... fruit.... Winter is just hard. Preston bought the kids little dirt trucks and scrapers but um ground still hard and mostly frozen soooo Axel got creative. Yes flour all over. got it contained on the stove and let it stay there all day. Discovering jetted tub makes excellent bubble baths. Kids love to scare us....Me ghost oooOOOooo
Dan and Preston went riding so Malena and the kids came to hang with us. I want our kids to be close. It's fun to watch them play and fight. I told Preston to come back early enough to give the kids a ride but they were neck deep in bubbles by the time the Dads came back.
As a kid St. Patrick's Day was a bigger deal than as a mom. You don't get the day off and their really isn't any sort of festivities/ rave / parade....well unless you live in Ireland or New York....and still. My Mom always made Corn Beef and Cabbage (to celebrate our Irish heritage). I try to do that too. It's nice knowing exactly whats for dinner one day a year. Some day when I'm grown up and organized I'm going to make a 365 day meal plan. Kids were not into my "green" photo shoot until I explained the main tradition of the holiday.
