After the excitement of being at 7 peaks water park half of the summer staying home sounded boring to the kids. UNTIL we pulled out the pool and made water slides of our own. And if that wasn't cool enough we also got 5 new kitties. Clown and Orange 1, 2, 3, 4.
My farm kids are learning where food comes from. They love gathering eggs. We got a banty that lays mini eggs some with no yolk and twice found ones from the other chickens with no shell...neat. We also got a meat bird this year. Surprisingly moist Sunday dinner. I was done butchering roosters so we threw him off the canyon (not sure it was legal but it was cool. )
The rest of June was normal kid exploration and play. Got out the roller skates, rode fuzz, dug in the garden and chased frogs. Love living in the country.
