Fast February

Ok I posted our Women in the Book of Mormon last year but I didn't put the reading pages with it. Never hurts to have a second copy.  Plus we rocked it.  Katanas face makes me cry every time. The horror and fear makes it so real.

Grandma Dixie gave us $5 for balloons.  It was the first time I'd been to Zonkers Party Outlet.  We were in there for over an hour.  Kids looking down every row for the best-est one.  It was suppose to be for Valentines Day but that would mean only 2 balloons between them.  So my money savvy kiddos decided to pick ones off the discount wall so they each got one plus each got a fuzzy balloon weight. I was silently super proud.  Pam's birthday was a quick family get together.  More ice than snow made for interesting sledding....don't fall off.

Back to Eden and a 50 Degree winter. Bike rides, pick nicks and yard work.  I've also made a goal to made a descent loaf of bread.  I find these "fail proof" recipes and my mixer and oven goes "Challenge Excepted."  Actually beer bread has worked the best for me thus far.  Makes an instant sour dough. I have had a few successes. Preston and I eat a loaf  each.  The kids eat one slice then go "Can we have real bread next time."

I've been wanting to cut and color my hair for a while but have been waiting to go to Utah to see
Deidre cuz she's the bomb. Well it wasn't going to happen in the foreseeable future so I prayed and a few days later saw Natalie Sears.  She had a cute modern pixie.  Turns out her sister-in-law does it for friends and family from her home.  Called and she was willing to take me.  She worked with me on narrowing down a cut that would flatter my face. 2 colors that would compliment my skin. I love it.  Elder Cook came to talk with young married couples with small children. It was so great. He was over the new Come Follow Me curriculum.   He said this program was never meant to be ridged. strict. ball and chain.  That to study you needed to be in ash and sackcloth.  Your Sunday is to be a delight.  Your study is to be enlightening and engaging.  Age appropriate.  It was never intended that children stay in Sunday dress to worship keeping a constant spiritual high.  That is a recipe for failed expectations and rebelling teens.   It is more spiritual highlights. Attitude of fellowship.  Basically "If Sunday isn't your favorite day of the week...Your doing it wrong."  So good.
