Jog'n through June.

June is a great time to have a birthday.  Perfectly spaced from Christmas with bonus warm weather. We got new kittens from Timber and the Knights.   7 little "it-ees" will be well loved.  Preston and I went on a date and Corona is making people crazy. Everywhere is a ghost town. closed down or a scene from some masked horror movie.  And we live in Wendell. Corona, George Floyd, Black lives matter and an election year.  Things are getting really out of hand in big liberal areas like Portland which looks and is acting like downtown Bagdad right now. It's not safe! Well at least we have our little haven here.  Kids practically have a park in the back yard (yes parks apparently carry deadly diseases and are closed) We tuned up our survival skills by butchering 20 meat birds.  I couldn't find the Ax so this year we used the tree loppers. I think it actually worked better.  A little science lesson as we dissected them.  Did you know an ostriches eye is bigger than it's brain?  I think the same applies to a chicken.  And it's hard like a marble I really thought it would pop but it just popped out.  Called Hillary Rodgers on a whim and asked her to cut my hair.  She does it in her home on the side for family....and me.  The shortest I've ever gone and Love it.

Proctors are up for Greg's birthday Vacation. We joined them for boats, Borens and a BBQ.  Grandma made Katana a Mermaid tale.    Every little girls dream.  Also a huge bag of Orbeez which Grandma did not really appreciate us sharing and a bunny.  We went to a farm auction and got 4 little ducks and a lion head bunny named "Kelly bunny"  (Future side note it lasted a whole month before Mace accidentally left the cage on it's side and it ran away.  Cage had bigger holes on bottom so it could eat the grass)  Promised the Kids a picknick to Niagara Springs. The water is Freezing but they didn't care. It was a fun afternoon.

My hair was starting to look like 80's David Hasselhoff by the end of June so I dyed it green.  Kids all got to try my green hair dye.  I didn't bleach it for them so it was mostly highlights. That got me looking liked a member of a Japanese boy band.  Bad hair inspired me to do something crazy.  NO hair.  A secret bucket list ambition to shave my head.  When I confessed this to Preston he was supportive but hesitant. just making sure I'd thought it out.  "Why don't you talk to your sister first.  Not Syringa she'll say Go for it. Not Cart she'll say your going to hell.  call Timber she's a neutral party."   Moment of truth.  Preston, Me and the #8 Clippers. AHHHHHHH   and I actually LOVE IT.   I love my little fohawk and the shock factor.    Speaking of Wow factor. Katana got BRACES.  Within a few days you could see an improvement in the movement of her front teeth. This is phase 1. ( spacing and alinement for incoming teeth.)  Then they will come off for a few years before phase 2 (bite and permanent placement)
