Baptism and Branding

Back in March I had a two week bout of what I'm sure was the dreaded corona everyone was talking about. Didn't get tested. It was kind of rough. I'm talking Unconcience-didn't-always-make-it-to-the-toliet-sprey-the-shower-walls-sick. Then weak, slow and sore but very much alive. Lost 20 lbs which jump started a 9 year new years resolution favorite failure "loose baby weight." Started Snake Juice Diet. It's like an extended water fast or as Preston calls it "new wave anorexia" Timber has done it for years. Mom did a marathon one a while back I think it was like 25 days. Syringa, Cart and I independently decided to jump on the band wagon same month. It was Pure Positive Peer Pressure. You take all the vitamins and minerals and salts your body requires and that's it. The "Snake Juice" --there are a ton of recipes this is the one I used--is 1tsp No salt, 1 tsp Epson Salt, 1/2 tsp Pink Salt, 1/2 tsp Baking Soda. For me I was instantly sick. Throwing up and flu like blaa feeling for the first day and then smooth sailing. I could have gone longer but I started with a 5 days and later two 3 days. The first time I celebrated with a Lava Cake. WRONG. You are suppose to refeed with broth and cooked veggies slowly for half as long as you diet. The next two times were better reentry. It's just a good reset for body and mind. Body obviously a liquid diet is super cleansing. Mind because it's like good-better-best. Do I want a piece of food now because it's available and I'm board or wait for dinner and be sitting and enjoy it a little later? A whole piece of Crappy chocolate now or a half serving of decadent cheese cake later? Choice is important. Timing is important. It was actually kind of spiritual. I never really felt that hungry. I found I can say No. I don't NEED food, snacks, seconds. I can choose. Self care is not Selfish. It took me till now but I reached my goal of 150. and I climbed the 20 ft rope outside. Maintenance and strength training will be my next goals. A few things to remember. Don't trust a fart- it's not worth it. Don't plan on going anywhere for days 1-2. Plan light work home days for 3-4. Have a goal. Either choose a time limit or weight loss goal. Motivation is helpful. Oh and get get real Epson salt not bath salt with Epson salt. Big difference! yes my puke was banana and lavender scented for the first day. Totally worth it.

Denali Proctor was Baptized by his father Greg Saturday10th of October in Spanish Fork Utah. The Hatfield’s came down so Baler could watch. He said he didn't want to be baptized if it meant going under. He is terrified of water. Afterwards he said it might be Ok if they did it real fast. A blessing. After we did a little program at the house. Dad talked about how this is a celebration, and the grandkids got to sing their song. (I will be what I believe) We've been practicing it all year. So neat to hear their little voices and feel their BIG spirits. I love how the littles over-pronounce "persevere". Spanish Fork got a new all abilities park Syringa wanted to show us. We decided to take a bike ride Mom, Timber, Syringa, and Me and 8 kiddos (Denali, Denim and the 3 babies stayed with the Dads.) It was a memory maker. There were a few close calls. Colvin rode his hover board. On the way back he almost got hit by a car. Thanks to Brenden the car stopped slammed on his breaks. They followed us back in the van. After Axel almost wiped out on the hover board we insisted most of the kids jump in the van and meet us at home. Axel was upset because we promised he could ride the hover board back. Later I took him on a ride around the neighborhood. Syringa said "it's just up the road. A mostly straight bike path you cross like 2 major roads." It was uphill both ways. crossing a 6 lane major road, two 4 lanes and a dozen single intersections on a 5 mile sojourn. We all made it there and back alive. Baler was such a trooper. He made it all but the last mile. He got in the bike trailer with Mace to Cheer me home. Hatfield's found a puppy on KSL near Spanish Fork. Dolly Dog Hatfield. On the way home we found baby lion head bunnies $15. Since I would take 2 I got them for $10. When we picked them up Mace says. "where's my bunny.?" So they sold us one more. Blessing as a few days later Mace goes out before breakfast to get a bunny to play with. He comes back with 2. And says "Mom the other one is a sleepyhead. It's eyes are shut. It's face like this (he sticks his tongue out to the side mouth a little open. AKA not asleep face.) I poked it with a stick and it did not move. Very sleepy." Oh buddy I think it might have died I'll go take care of it after we eat. "Mom can we wait like 2 or 3 days to make sure." No buddy I'm sure.

Preston took the older 3 to help bring the cows home. Zara and I weren't going to be much help. She's not old enough to enjoy it. I loved the day alone and thanks to Echo still got cute pics of the other kids hard at play in the hills. Zara is getting into everything. Lotion, Bagbalm, Soap, Flour. Thankfully she's not eating it like Zaleah. Cart has poison control on speed dial. I have such a testimony of the Come Follow Me program. Especially now with shut downs. Katana C.F.M wants to learn to sew. I'm thinking a pillowcase. Nope a tie skirt. Good on ya. Turned out really cute. Axel sets a goal to learn to cook. He makes a chicken dinner. Before we started he said he needed a hat. Later we would actually make each of the kids a chief hat. Mace and I drive around to find hub caps for our DIY flowers. And Zara has help with swings and sibling towers. I am loving my hair and the last warm days of fall.
