I've wanted to for years. It took me months to find a Groupon code and talk myself into it. I got permanent eyeliner. Love it! Next time I'm going BIGGER & BOLDER. My ward did a Time Out for Women Activity. It was really good. Music was perfect. Speakers well chosen. On my birthday the kids were being really quiet to let me sleep in. Then they gentle woke me up for a true birthday surprise they had thought up all by themselves. A Spa day. They washed my feet. Lotioned my legs. Rubbed my back. Then took me to brunch at la café with a corner booth and a book .(shower stall with Hungry caterpillar) I was floored. It's one of my daydreams to be one of those people in a booth alone for hours with no cares sipping cups of slowly cooling cocoa while finishing a sappy novel. I was truly touched at the sweetness of their selfless thoughts and gestures. When I asked how they thought of it their answer had me in happy tears. "We couldn't buy you presents but we could make something really special." It really was straight from their hearts to mine. I didn't even have to make my cake.
*Axel testing if the stove was hot burnt the shenanigan's out of his fingers. OUCH.
