Much in March

March "in like a lion out like a lamb" can refer to the same day in Idaho.  With 4 Kelly kids turning 12 this year we planned a trip to the Temple. The devil did not want it to happen as we had to reschedule like 3 times.  We persevered! The adults went through a session in the morning. Then we met at the baptistry to do 20 or so family names.  Grandma spoiled us with Reeds dairy ice-cream after.  It was a bonding, spiritual day.  Katana had actually gone with her youth group  a few weeks before.  I had asked to join them so I got to be with her for her first time.

For parent teacher conference I was called into a special meeting for Axel.  They were concerned at his creative writing assignments.  Everyone I showed it to was impressed by his imagination and creativity.  The principle was worried it was twinged with too much violent undertones.  I want to see Steven Kings 4th grade journal. Axel had a bird nest stem project due. He built it from mud, string, glue, grass and hay.  I love Temu. Katana is allergic to something.  She gets these big rashes on her arms, legs and torso.  ???  Kids are seeing Pokémon everywhere (the popcorn). Katana started trading candy for cards.  Then they went in together to get a 100 pack on amazon.   School picture Day for WES and Dress up day at the middle school.

Took a trip to Boise.  We got a tour of the cabinet shop Brendon works at.  The kids picked out some doors from the trash to paint on.  After a weekend away I was grateful for Zara's help with a 2 shopping cart trip.  We rewarded ourselves with 12 baby meet birds.  After looking for several months Preston took me to look at this one  bus.  He just happened to bring the exact amount of money to buy it also. LOL.
I loved it too.  Especially the color. We started the conversion to "awesome camper" almost immediately.   I know summer is going to start soon and I wanted to get the face of my quilt done so I don't have pieces everywhere.  I was pleasantly surprised the 3 sizes of pinwheels came together so well.  I wanted to do a more intricate denim pattern. I've done 3-4 scrap quilts.  I can bust one of those out in a day. This was an all winter project. But it looks amazing.
