FAMILY FUN

8/3-8/6

Dorthy and Dwaine Nef had 8 children--who begot 40+ Grandchildren---who begot 56+ Great-grandchildren--- and when we all get together it's a blast!!!!
4 days of friends-food-&-fun. It was the Nef Family Reunion at Camp Lomondi in Eden, Utah.  The camp is owned by the church and has 6 cabins with their own bathroom/showers and 36 bunkbeds.   Plus a large commons building with a huge well stocked kitchen.  Perfect for our ever growing family.   Among other things we had Volleyball, a bounce house, Ping-Pong, potato boat races, cards, whip cream toss, karaoke, and ZUMBA.  Dixie and Darla also brought their Blow up water slides.

 Katana helping us move in

Josie is an instructor in Utah and held morning Zumba classes.    No one could match her energy.

We were ready to jump in the kiddy pool afterwards.   Actually some of us did.

My family wanted to match.  Mom made the little girls (Katana, Darlin, Denim, Ralayna, Brinley, Breann, and McCarty) green skirts with pink flowers and bought the little boys green shirts to match for one day, and got pink cheetah skirts from helo heaven for the another day.  One could definitely tell  who we belonged to.

Each of the 8 NEF siblings (with their associated families) is in charge of a meal.   Dixie’s Fam had lunch on day 2.   We made the biggest bowl of noodle salad I’d ever seen and we ate it all.

The Talent show is always a blast.  The Kelly’s, Proctors and Cart teamed up to do a skit of the little butt-hole joke.

A final Family devotional kicking off Grandpa Dwaine’s birthday party/ dance was a fitting finally of the reunion.   My only disappointment was not doing a pyramid.  KATANA WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PEAK…COME ON PEOPLE IT’S TRADITION.

8/7/11
Katana Kelly was Blessed by her Father Preston R. Kelly August 7, 2011
It was a sweet moment.    I love having the gospel in my life.    I was so proud of them both.   Preston for being worthy and able to bless her; Katana for being pure.  I was crying thinking of her future and how there will be a few times in her life where she is dressed in white and surrounded by the priesthood.   How tender those moments will be.

We were so grateful for all the support.   Mom, Dad, & Cart drove all night from a rodeo to make it and Pam spent 3 days sewing Katana’s Beautiful dress.  It was a wonderful day to be together.
