Birth Day S

2nd--Kaydree Rain turned 1.   Rockelle had a BBQ and set up Darla’s water slide.  Kaydree cried for 20 min. then took a nap for an hour.   Katana had a blast though.

4th-- Preston got the day off so we set up the sprinklers and ran threw them.  I lasted about 5 min. How did I do this for hours as a kid?

6th-- I was having a pity party.   I kind of wanted my birthday to be special still and its just not anymore.   I make my own dinner, my own cake, buy and wrap my own gifts and sing “hangover” to myself.  I headed to arco in the afternoon to be with Preston (he’s working out there).  Come to find out he had gotten up early to make me a cake before work –a heart shaped cake.  It warmed my soul.  He can be so thoughtful.  Ended up having a very nice B-day.

8th --Echo made 2 quilts for Jade and Lane's new bunk beds.  Met at Brooks house for a quilt'N Bee with Grandma, Juanita, Brook, Echo, Lexis and Addie.  It was kind of fun.
Katana, Jade, Lex

9th Tried our hand at another yard sale. Set up at grand Southwicks. They live on 17th in Ammon. When it comes to Yard Sales I’ve learned it’s all about Location Location Location.

13th -Finally made it to one of Jade’s soccer games—the last one.  They have been doing so good. Not that anyone keeps score for 5 year olds but their team is undefeated.

14th--My glasses broke for the good this time. For the last few weeks they’ve been held together with fishing wire and yarn.  Had an Eye Dr. appointment—the first in 5 years.   Then ran to Katana’s  1 year photo shoot.

15th-17th The Kelly’s have a grandparent camping tradition  which they take all the kids 1 and up camping once a year.   So Brave!
A whole weekend with no Katana. What we gonna do…..PARTY!!!
FRIDAY: Preston took me to town for the royal treatment.  Dinner—Firehouse Grill  Dessert—Greenleaf yogurt  Movie @Edwards w/ popcorn—The Avengers. (Tried sneaking into Snow White and the Huntsmen--Sat there for an hour eating our refill and hoping they wouldn’t kick us out.  The counter kept coming in but finally they started the movie. Ended up being the wrong theater so we walked out. )
I was having a hard time without Katana –no baby , no car seat, no diaper bag, bottle, toys, or snacks---just me… “Preston I’m lost.  I don’t know what to do with my hands”
SATURDAY:  Went to Hillcrest  High’s Annual “Biggest yard sale in Idaho” event.    50 plus booths of yard sales / venders.   It’s one of those moments when you know your husband is doing it just for you.  After a few hours of that we headed to the hills.  A little Adam and Eve style camping up Wolverine.
SUNDAY—Rounded out the weekend with Father’s Day.  We love you Preston.  Your awesome.
Preston didn't really appreciate my creative wrapping

18th Our Bug is 1 yr old. I can’t believe how fast that went.   Grandma Dixie made a quick loop to see everyone and was here for Katana’s B-day.  Katana was tired, sunburned, and cutting 4 teeth, so she wasn’t really into celebration.  We ended up opening her gifts for her and putting her to bed early. We enjoyed her cake without her.   She has 3 teeth on the bottom and is getting 4 on top.  She is obsessed with eyes.  She pokes you and plain as day says “eyes” .  She also says AHHH after a big drink. She loves water.  Kellys have a kitty pool out and I made one out of cinderblocks and a tarp.  We got 4 chickens and while she is scared of the chickens she loves gathering the eggs.  She likes having her Dad be a bear and chase her around the house.  She loves talking on the phone.  "Hi"
so all day I couldn't find my phone.  That evening Mom goes to dump the trash can I have had soaking in the tub and there is my phone at the bottom.   We could just imagine Katana dipping, Swirling it around, having so much fun until oops drops it in the bucket.. the Joys of being a Mother.

By the way --It's dirt NOT chicken poop.

Today's lesson from a child.  Stop and smell the Roses However, Wherever and Whenever you can.
