We've had a wet, warm winter. The first snow didn't fall until Christmas eve. Katana was super excited for Christmas this year. She was old enough to know something was up. She helped me wrap most of the gifts. Her job was to put them under the tree. She learned to plug in the lights which made me nervous She loved petting baby Jesus, his Mamma, and Dadda. I probably should invest in a child nativity but she was really careful We decorated the tree the first day we got it and redecorated the bottom half every night before bed.
Marc, Pam and Carson came to visit Christmas morning. It was so fun to watch Katana. Preston and I got her another baby doll with a pacifier and car seat. The Kelly's got a diaper bag, bottles, diapers, and a stroller After that she was less inclined to open her other gifts. She's gonna be a good Mommy.
She also got a dress up trunk, dress up clothes, a vacuum hair clip, 2 ride scooter toys, Baby Bible story's a few cardboard books, 2 Squeaker shoes and bubbles.
My big Surprise was a Wheat Grinder. I had asked for one and was so impressed Preston actually listened. I didn't have any wheat so I ground some Beans then used Dad's Ziplock Sealer to store it. Also mascara, Ahh Bras, nail polish, nail stamps, Avon Jewelry, Sweet. Preston got Brisingr the 3rd in the Eragon series, 4 Left Behind Books, massager, new G's, bubble bath and a head scratcher. ("Not the best haul" he says "I didn't get any toys" so I tossed him a tub of Katana's play dough---Merry Christmas)
The Day After Christmas our washing machine took a dump. Thankfully we found a cheap one on craigslist. Also Katana got a bad rash. When I called Timber she had me all freaked out like it might be a viral disease that could turn into Scarlet Fever and was fatal. 2 hours later my Doctor gave me some Benadryl. Katana had eaten at least a dozen oranges over the last week and her body was overloaded. What a relief.
