WE PLAY

While the Boys are Away the Girls get to Play.  While Preston was on a scout trip we went to CSI's End of Year Dance Festival.  I'm glad she was intrigued by the the lights and music and didn't really understand because it definitely wasn't a Mormon production.  4 of the 10 performances were about gay/lesbian pride with the performers dance humping on the stage or an abusive relationship ending with a suicidal escape.  Most were interpretative -poetry based dances--guys banging on metal bowls while girls flopped around the stage. Weird. But it was an excuse to dress up.

We love to cook.  Katana is getting pretty good at kneading bread.

As a reward for being so good and following me around to Yard Sales on the Weekends--We stop at the park on the way home.  First time down the big slide I almost had a heart attack.  She's fearless.

While working in the garden I stepped on a baby bunny.  It was too little to hop over the tall grass.  We made a new home for it in a box complete with weeds and a tuna can of water but alas it got away during the night. Katana learned the word "bun-Knee" and was later excited to find my slippers under the bed.
