Off to a Good Start

Trujillo's Family started the Family Reunion Marathon with a bang.  First they were troopers and stopped to visit all of the siblings on the way OR in my case out of the way.  Thank you for taking the time to come see us, it meant a lot.  Of course it couldn't just be a nice visit--I needed something DRAMATIC to blog about after all.

Saturday:   Abe got sick on the way down. So the 4 hour trip from Syringa's to my house took over 6--(frequent potty stops) He was in pretty bad shape and Trujillo ended up running him to Jerome's ER. They said it was probably food poisoning and to wait it out.  Sunday he wasn't better and he'd been several hours with nothing to eat but still passing blood out both ends.  Again they went to the ER. A few tests and again they sent him home to wait.  Charlotte was frustrated with the lack of prognosis or any suggested remedies.  I have to agree it was kind of scary.   We all just took it easy.  The kids watched Dumbo like 3 times and Trujillo and Charlotte  did my dishes -- no complaint here.

That evening we took a walk across the bridge to Twin.  We arrived at sunset. It was starting to cool off and there was a beautiful view of the canyon.  Abe was still weak and got to ride in the stroller most of the way. Poor kid. Monday they loaded up and headed to McCarty's to continue their wonderful journey.
