Katana loves getting mail. Denims letter was on display for a month. She got a toy mail box for Valentines Day and has kept Mr. McFeely (Daniel Tiger postman) quite busy. The blue and yellow figures are Mommy and Baby Elephants and red clouds. I think it looks like a bloody T-Rex attacking a grey mouse next to a lake - I probably shouldn't take a blob test anytime soon.
Grandma and Grandpa came up for the afternoon. We had a pick nick near Niagra Springs, got a tour of the fish Hatchery and walked the bridge to twin. A first for Grandma Dixie cuz she's scared of heights. I think worrying over Katana and Axel helped divert her nerves in crossing. Uncle JD stopped by later in the week to drop off Wire and show us his baby calves. It was just before Blue and Gold Banquet. That wasn't significant except to show off Katana and I's matchy matchy. WE'RE SO CUTE.
We got some new kittens for the summer. Originally named we have Girl, Boy, the White kitties and Big Tom. Girl gets to be in the back porch cuz she was so little we didn't want Sammy or the Big Tom to get her. The kids wake up early just to sneek back and play with her. AND MAKE HUGE MESSES. "we're playing at a pretend beach" & "girl was Hungry" are the 2 favorite excuses. yes it's happened more then once. I can't get to mad, They play quietly and I get to sleep in. They really are good playmates. Axel wants to do everything Katana does. And she's more than willing to dress him up and boss him around.
The church held a multi-ward sweetheart dance. Preston and I were the youngest couple by about 30 years. We ate double the treats than anyone present. I love to dance and Preston requested several country and line dance tunes. It was a fun night out with no kids.
