Ahhhhhh-gust

On one of Dad's trips to extract viable embryos for artificial insemination I got to tag along.  This sort of thing i find absolutely fascinating.  The Vet was happy to answer my questions, let me get close and see the instruments and process.  he even invited me back into the lab to see the cells cleaned and counted.  I got to see the Blasts under the microscope. So cool

The kids have a hard time picking up there things. The other day after asking them 10 times to clean up the living room I said.  "OK I'm going to get the vacuum and whatever is not picked up is getting sucked up and you won't get it back."   I go down the hall to get the vacuum and when I come back the living room floor is spotless......everything picked up "off the floor" and piled on the couch.  How could I get mad when they followed my instructions exactly.   And then Katana has started not wanting to take her naps.  She is allowed to sneak out after Axel is asleep.  The thing is half the time she still needs a nap and falls asleep elsewhere.

Jerome Fair has free admission.  I love to go and look, and listen, and smell, and be.   X-pogo demonstrations were amazing.  Guys doing back flips, 10 foot jumps, letting go mid-air.  I remember it being an accomplishment just to get 10 consecutive bounces on our old pogo stick.   Kids got their faces painted.  Axel said "Meow Meow" every time he looked at Katana.  At the animals barns they wanted to see Bunnies.  We didn't know the chicken/ bunny barn was across the tracks.  That was almost a melt down.  Thankfully an older lady was listening in and came to our aid. For the next few days Every Day Katana had to reenact the fair experience.  Especially blowing up balloons and painting  faces.
