If I had it my way the tree would be up the day after Thanksgiving. If Preston had his way it would be Christmas eve. Happy medium is the first weekend after Mace's birthday.
Spur of the moment Kelly Christmas get together had me a little rattled as I usually have Christmas done by Halloween having shopped all year long. Plus I totally asked in like June if we were drawing names. Oh well still fun just to get with cousins. Jade played Christmas carols, had a gift exchange and a Posterity pose with Grandpa Dewey. JD and Echo blew everyone away with their hand tied fleece throws. Luckily they drew at least one person from each family so we all got one.
Matching PJ's for Christmas morning "with a reindeer on my buttt"--Axel. Katanas big gift was a Doll house and barbie car. (Make-up, Frozen fishing pole, hair stuff) Axel got a huge train set with buildings, collapsing bridge and 3 remote control cars. (luggage, shaving kit, socks--that's what he asked Santa for and that is the one thing he remembered to tell people he got.) Mace got luggage. Yes lame for him but so handy for me (floor piano, toothbrush, balls) Everyone also got Tablets. Thank you Black Friday AmazonPrime $35. Sweet! We waited till the end to give those knowing Axel exspecilly would have eyes for none else. Bedtime be like- "Good night...I love you tablet." Preston got himself Starwars 4,5,6. I got a new printer. Preston shocked the heck out of me by ordering some Seacrect stuff from Malena. I was seriously going to make him give it back cuz that stuff is crazy expensive but I found out he had gotten it from a Black Friday Super sale. I was so moved that he not only listened to what I wanted but had gotten it on sale knowing I love a good bargain. Christmas fell on a Sunday this year. What better way to remember our savior than with a Sabbath service, Song, and fellowship. All in all a success.
A big thanks to LaNae who supplied much of the initial surprise gifts. #handmedownbedope.
