Azalyn gave Zara her boots and I don't think she's taken them off. Katana got new colors on her braces They said one tooth was close so didn't put a string on it. She lost it that evening. Then later that week Axel lost a tooth. He spent an hour trying to work up the nerve to shoot it out with a nurf gun. Finally he dropped his arm to low and pulled it out. Less than 2 hours later Zara walked off with the string attached to loose tooth #2. Kids out of school I'm implementing some things like art and piano. They each learned a song and we had a little concert. I was really proud of them. For art we made macramé bowls. For recess thankfully we got a little snow. The kids made the most of what we got-Scraping together enough to make a few snowballs, snowmen, and a fort.
Trujillo's family came the week before Christmas to help pick up the shingles from doing our roof. It was a huge blessing as it snowed the next day and they probably would have stayed on the ground till spring. We ate dinner and then went to see the lights at south hills. Our ward party was cancelled but our neighbors The Smiths put together a magical musical night in their garage. It was a great way to welcome in the season. Then CHRISMAS!!!! The Kelly's came for Christmas morning. It made it so special to have someone to show and share the delights with.
Amy Christmas after party. Everyone but the Mcphauls were able to make it for one day of crazy fun. We had a $5 white elephant gift exchange game. The whole time Mace was like "I'm gonna steal whatever Dad gets". He got a bowling ball. Axel was super stoked to win the GIANT APE. He called it MEGA MONKEY. The kids and I made a saran wrap treasure ball. Roll doubles to pass the ball. with oven mitts, scarf and hat you win whatever you get to out of the plastic on your turn. it was a riot. The kids were totally into it. Poor Mace was frazzled with the pressure. Grandpa tried to help but there is really no good way to cheat at this game. In the end just being together is what its all about.
