Activity days started again by passing out new CTR style "the temple is our goal" rings. Axel lost his taking out the trash a few weeks later. He was totally bummed. We say Farwell to the Ensign as the church rebrands all the their magazines. Its now the Friend for children, Youth for teens And the Liahona. All 3 will include a few less pages and stories but will be available in several more languages, countries and circulate more often in remote areas. As well has have a stronger online presence. I also include a few political cartoons that I really liked. Pictures say a 1000 words and all that.
After winter break back to school full time no masks required. Of course my boys both get chickenpox a week in. Christmas party at the smiths our friends Dimonds didn't bring their kids cuz they had chickpox. Totally asked for a playdate. My kids don't do well with Cillins or Vaccines. We got the flu shot with Katana cuz we were young and dumb and someone said we had to. Never been so sick in my life. So I was hoping to get them naturally but gave up. Apparently the incubation is like 20-40 days. Sweet. The 3 younger got them. Axel was the worst. Mace so so. Zara had like 2. I got 50 odd headbands for Christmas. I used a few to make bandana, knotted and cloth covered headbands. Anniversary we were quarantined with sick kids. dine-in with chick flick. Ahhh he must really love me.
Kids worked hard to clean the house one Saturday to earn a hour at the park when we went in for groceries. On our way to Jerome it started raining. Despite the drizzle we decided to still stay and play. Ten minuets in our jackets were soaked. After another 10 the rain picked up and I pulled the plug with a promise to return for longer in good weather. Being stuck inside with weather and humanities stupidity we rediscovered the bubble machine, blanket forts, DIY hubcap flowers, and snuggle buddies.
