Awesome October

Conference was awesome as usual.   A revised  For strength of Youth pamphlet was released. 18 new temples announced including 4 in Mexico City.  Unanimous vote that salt on avocado is best. We are determined to be 1% better. To attend and focus more on the temple and things of eternal significance. AND The lord is the reason for it all.    I love this area. We are still getting nice fall days even in October. Zara does "school" in the morning then outside in the afternoon. She can now sing the ABCs and with that find the letters she doesn't immediately  recognize.  Mace loves to jump rope. He can go all the way across the lawn.  Axel worked one Saturday to learn to crack the whip. We finally sold Mom and Dads camper that's been in our yard for a year.  There was drama with one seller driving 6 hrs and we couldn't get the push out to go so didn't take it.  Then another who bought it with a loan. Then told the bank to cancel the transaction after it already went through to our account. The banker was his friend and tried to bully us to tear up the check. Um No. Called us everything but a white guy. Rude. Wont be dealing with Benito again. Mom and dad took us to dinner for our troubles.  It really was no trouble.  Buys sell trade is kind of what we do.

Grandpa Marc came over and made tin can stoves with the kids. He tested it with my most expensive Americraft Waterless Cookwear.  Good thing it came clean! I tried my hand at Hawthorn berry Jam from our bush by the driveway.  Mace made his first Pumpkin pie.  He won a raffle at school and got a porcupine pumpkin. Kids got titer test for chickenpox.  My word matches medical evidence now. Axel's last STEM projects were a rocket and pumpkin chucker's.  Dress up days at school included: WES-PJ's/ WMS Cowboy, E-Hat /M-70's, E- Crazy hair /M-Hawaiian

For Preston's Birthday I ordered a shirt with the kids names on lightsabers. It reads: I am their father. Watermelons are on at the place Mike manages. Real watermelon is not that good. And it's like 90% water.   Cut it open and flooded my floor.  I tried to dry some. Nope.  Fruit leather.  Nope. Froze some for slushies but honestly threw most of it in the compost bin.

Happy Halloween.  Got matching shirts for Preston and I.   THIS IS BOO SHEET.  I wore it all month cuz it was a ghast. LOL.  Mace enjoyed his field trip to Tubbs Berry Farm. I meant to take the kids again this year but somehow October was busy.  For Halloween we hit like 6 trunk-or-treats. Friday's favorite was to an old folks home in twin. The line was going really slow at one point and this old lady kept putting candy in Axels bucket.  He tried to tell her he already got one but she didn't remember 3 sec later. " it's ok .just say thank you." It was a testimony to me to be happy in the moment....In every moment. Saturdays favorite was trick-or-treat on main street Twin falls.  A walk down main on both sides for 5+ blocks. shops between Fairfield to Jerome streets and an few on the corners.  Bumper to bumper so to speak. We got a lot but it took forever. We didn't even hit the last  2 block- the kids were done.  KMTV estimated some 4500 kids came by not counting the parents and grands that supervised. Wendell's celebration is getting better every year. free soup and hot cocoa. petting zoo. and the city park.   Zara wandered from the play area in the dark once.  Rendon's called to say they found her. I didn't even know she's gone cuz I was talking to Britta Henderson with her new baby.  I love small towns.
