Grandma Afton, Aunt Tina, Aunt Juanita, Brook and I all carpooled down to Utah. Growing up with my father’s method of driving, I was not used to being pampered in a long distance commute. They rented an SUV because grandma’s 6-passenger car was not Roomy Enough. We stopped right away if anyone had to use the bathroom, get a drink, get something to eat, stretch out, or if someone knew of a good store we should stop and look around in for a few…. HOURS!!!! . As much as we whined at my Dad growing up, after a 7 hour drive took nearly 10---I think I prefer his “get in and get there” philosophy.
The festivities began right away with a baby shower My sisters put together. Aubrey Gubler and Maggie Everett came, I haven’t seen them since high school. Also present: Brittany Nez, Sister Hale, Temara, and the Ranch Secretary Gail Drennon. Cart had yearbook signing so no one really saw her the first day.
THE BIG DAY
The ceremony was Tuesday at 4 in the Dixie State Auditorium. It wasn’t that bad---as far as graduations of 300+ go. The talks were short, sweet and entertaining. They kept up the pace as they walked across the stage and wala my sister survived and conquered the bathroom stage of life…aka high school.

McCarty’s “we’re just friends that like each other and have fun and date occasionally but it’s not official or serious like that” Austin and his entire family was invited and came to her after graduation celebration Barbeque party.
Wednesday was Pretty warm. Mom let us set up her slide and against Preston’s orders not to do anything that might put me into labor while in Utah I went down the slide a few times.
IT WAS A BLAST!!!
We just hung out the rest of the day—being entertained by the kids and eachother.

And home again on Thursday.
Preston had reverted to bachelorhood. Clothes-on floor, dishes-in living room, my flowers-dead.
No worries to make up for it He....finished my chicken run... planted my garden...took me on a date to the drive in...and didn't complain to bad when we got tickets to BODIES THE EXHIBITION at the museum of Idaho.
